Profit analysis, Credit control Analysis. lapsed sales etc. They also have the opportunity to immediately open the best customer/ supplier account by clicking on the name. You can also place the order for goods to the best supplier by clicking on the basket button.
Now you can attach a file of any size to the accounts, products and transactions. The attachments can be recalled at any time.

The latest release of Insight 2 has some features that optimize the work of our users.

For easy working with euro we added some facilities. In addition to existing views it is possible to define Euro views for all lists. The account balances, transaction values will be presentable in euro.

We offer the new utility for quick work with documents. After creating the transactions, the users can select between 'Save', 'Save & Print' and 'Save & Pay' functions. For payment: "Save & Allocate", "Save, Print & Alloc" buttons are added.

 For proper accounting the relations between the transactions should be set. We simplifyed this procedure. Now the users of Insight can easily create links between the transactions in different currencies and transactions of different traders. Besides we provide to the users 'Auto allocation' function for automatic setting the links between transactions.

New Tip panel on the top of the screen will show you if there is any filter for the current list. Now you can attach the file of any size to the accounts, products and transactions. The attachments can be recalled at any time.


9 October Herbst Computer Systems offer training for the customers of Insight 2

The training was held in three days, each day for the different group of customers.
We described the differences of Insight 1 and Insight 2, showed the features of the new version of Insight. Much time was also devoted to the description of methods to moving a company to the euro. The customers spent a day studying Herbst Insight. We hope that they understood how best to work with Insight 2 and the training was crucial for them.


28-30 September Herbst software products were presented on the e-Ireland exhibition

Over 200 service providers offered a range of solutions for business. But there was not presented any software product that can compete with our solutions for business management. Our Insight 2 was emerged into notice by those seeking to expand and develop existing businesses; those who have just set up a new business; and those interested and/or on the point of setting up new ventures. We demonstrated how our programs could save time and money and maximise the business potential.

1 August Insight 2 Released

Herbst, as a follow up to their successful Insight 1, introduces the new Herbst Insight 2 - the business and management system with fully integrated accounts. A near "paperless" complete office, giving management and company owners an "on line picture" of the company's financial affairs and the management information derived from it.

Insight 2 is silently revolutionising the world of accountancy. The new trend in today's business world is "Flat management" through computerised accountancy and business management. All the departments within the business enterprise can carry on with their daily activities, inputting all the transaction information relevant to their functional area and the accounts are generated automatically and transparently in the background for management to review and act upon online.

Administration personnel can now be uplifted to money making activities as all the usual administration work is done by this new style of computerized accountancy. Staff value can be maximised by allowing them to help with monitoring credit issues, supply chain issues, customer inquiries etc. On top of this the days of a "bookkeeper" exclusively preparing information for tax returns and end of year accountant review are gone making old fashioned filing and expensive administration a thing of the past.  

Insight 2 delivers some key enhancements and additional features making it even more user friendly, flexible and valuable than Insight 1, for example:

  • True Multi Currency and Euro readiness. For any customer/supplier/bank you can issue any transaction in any currency. Insight 2 will keep separate balances for each currency plus consolidated balance in the base currency. This system gives you extremely high flexibility and control over multicurrency accounts and the base currency can be changed at any time.

Triangulation currency rates support and history for currency rates. If you post sale invoice for the last year Insight will suggest to use currency rates from that period

  • E-Commerce. With the rising popularity of E-Commerce Insight 2 has a full web integration facility, which allows you to have your own e-shop hosted by Herbst where your customers can browse 24 hours a day 7 days a week and create orders and check their account details online. You can update your e-shop stock, prices and customer details and download any orders with a simple mouse click from within Insight 2.
  • Fully Integrated Payroll. Insight 2 is fully integrated with Herbst HRM 3  Human Resource and Payroll package . Weekly, Fortnightly, Four-weekly and Monthly wages can be  imported with one click of a button to your accounts. Automatically and immediately updating your nominal ledger and Bank Accounts.
  • Bill of material and the unique Product analysis. The Bill of material and the unique Product analysis system make the program suitable for manufacturers, distributors, resellers and most traders.
    Insight 2 introduces Multi line stock adjustment and stock revaluation transaction functionality. Multilocation and internal location movement can be easily transacted and monitored.

  • Integrated weighbridge and warehouse options. The weighbridge module has been enhanced by the introduction of the warehouse feature. Weigh transactions can now be used not only for weighable products, but also for changing the quantity of the products within the warehouse.
  • Increased Security and Full User Rights control. Insight2 introduces several levels of fences, for instance an administrator can setup a fence date for a company and there is no activity allowed before this fence date.  Additionally Insight 2 provides the ability to trace user activity, enabling managers to view any data changes made and who made them. Users rights are extremely flexible and can be configured by the administrator according to the business requirements of the user. Data can therefore be shared or restricted across the business as management wishes.
  • Reduced Nominal Ledger and reversible journals. The number of automatic accounts in the nominal ledger has been reduced, thereby enabling faster nominal ledger report preparations (balance sheet, trial balance and profit & loss).
  • Open period/year architecture. Transactions can be edited or deleted even if the fiscal year or period has been closed.
  • Back to back orders. Sales orders can now be converted to purchase orders without having to re-key all the data, thereby saving time, improving accuracy and reducing the workload.
  • Full Report and Form Designer. The report and form designer are even more enhanced with a wide range of options and customisability.
