18 December 2003 Herbst HRM 6.0.1.52 - The first version for 2004
This version incorporates amendments to PRSI contribution and taxation of
Benefits In Kinds coming into effect from 1 January 2004. Besides it includes
improved Pension, Holiday and Job modules. Our customers can upgrade their
software via Support Center. Major amendments are
listed below.
- Benefits in Kind taxable through PAYE system.
- Annual PRSI contribution ceiling for employees' PRSI has been increased to
EUR 42160.
- Additional voluntary contribution (AVC) to pension fund.
- Two methods of Holiday pay calculation (manual and automatic) in timesheets.
- Redesigned Job module including improved job reports.
- File attachments in Employee, Timesheet, Job, Accident, Safety Statement and
Working Contract windows.

Among new features and improvements in this version are the following:
- Processing database servers on local network computers.
- Detecting programme instances on other terminal sessions.
- Disable command line parameter which runs programme with
disabled scheduler.
- Users can be logged on as members of Power Users (not only
Administrators) group for database servers processing.
- If tasks are edited from any programme instance, they are refreshed in

This new version includes the following major new features and

- Consignee Quick View.

- Sales List->Items: the set of available columns has been significantly

A new version of Herbst Insight 2 has been released. Among new features it
contains the address book module and potential customer role. Moreover,
document validation settings, import/export facilities, sale/purchase pricing
procedures, and credit control are essentially improved. Here is a list of
all major new features and improvements:
- Traders:
- New roles - consignee, haulier, potential customer - implemented. Documents according
to the trader roles only can be created. (Consignee Licence required to be
able to work with consignees and Haulier Licence required to be able to
work with hauliers)
- For potential customers no transactions allowed except contacts and
weigh only and warehouse transactions.
- Possibility to create traders with no role. No transactions except the
weigh only and warehouse transactions and contacts are allowed for such
traders.
- The Address Book Module. It incorporates the lists of the traders
according to their roles.
- Customer Web UI Password, so that customers can access their accounts
in Herbst Insight 2 over the Internet.
- Sending E-mail to one or several traders option added to the Actions
button in the traders lists (Contacts Licence required)
- New improved Quick View window
- Documents:
- Document Validation settings at the user level updated. One of the
three validate actions (ignore, warn, forbid) can be set for the system to
perform when the users create documents which break the validation rules.
- In Weigh Out for sale documents credit control added (Weighbridge
licence required)
- Profit Analysis added to the Weigh out for Sale Documents (accessible
from the Tools button on the document Quick View) (Weighbridge licence
required for all weigh documents)
- Products:
- Purchase prices section added to the main tab of the product quick
view. Purchase Price Origin and other options can be defined here. Purchase
Price Origin defines the way the system will calculate the purchase price
for purchase documents.
- New improved Quick View window
- Purchase prices history enabled.
- Rebates added. They are defined for a customer in the Rebates tab of
the product quick view and are valid from the defined date. The rebates
concern the standard prices only.
- Import/Export of:
- Haulier Start Date/Time, Finish Date/Time and Duration, Sale Item User
Fields and Purchase Item User Fields added to the sale and purchase
transactions
- Product Rebates, Product Purchase Prices, Fuel Files, and Contracts
added to the Utilities menu (Contracts licence required for work with
contracts)
- Export/Import trader spreadsheets updated with new columns (all of them
are required to be filled in for correct import)
- Data from HRM UK 2 implemented (import of data from HRM 3, HRM 4, and
HRM UK 1 not supported any more)

- Joining of Nominal Ledger accounts
- Fields "Credit Customer up to" and "Freeze Customer on" added to the
Company Defaults window. You can define the default values in here, which
will be offered in the corresponding fields when creating a customer.
- Checking SMS balance from the Settings->Contact->SMS Gateway on the
main menu (Internet connection required) (Contacts licence required to be
able to use SMS service)
- A privilege to amend customer credit conditions added. This option is
applied to the credit conditions section on the customer tab of the
customer quick view. This privilege
does not apply to the users with administrative privileges.

A new version of Herbst MCR has been released. It
incorporates period and other new features and bug fixes which improve the
functionality of the programme and enhance its performance. New features

analysis (with charts)
With the help of the period analysis you can
select one or more NL accounts for analysing and select a kind of the period
analysis. There are three kinds of the period analysis: Daily, Weekly and
Monthly. You can display the data you get as a chart as well. There is also a
possibility to preview and print the chart displayed on the screen.

to find the information while-you-type

A new version of Herbst
Insight 2 which includes new features such as the Contacts module, SMS
sending, improved quick edits, enhanced conversion of documents and a lot

This version incorporates changes in PAYE according to the new Budget 2003 which
come into effect from 15 June 2003. Besides it includes some small improvements
like "Refresh on demand" option in grids.
Payroll improvements:
- Implemented requirements of the new Budget 2003 for PAYE which come into
effect from 15 June 2003.
The rates of tax and bandwidths for 2003/2004 are as follows:
Starting Rate 10% - up to 1960;
Basic Rate 22% - 1,961 to 30,500;
Higher Rate 40% - over 30,500.
User interface improvements:
- Added "Refresh On Demand" option in grids.
- Calculated timesheet are shown in read-only mode.
- Pound symbol is displayed independently of Windows Regional settings (Regional

- Sale Invoice Direct Printing (Cash Sale and Sale Invoice dialogues) is
available if you have Direct Print license.
- Company Login dialog -> Connections button: now you can define and
store different connections which you can use when login to companies.
- In user previleges "This user can enter weight manually" option
appeared. This option allows to control manual weighing from document.
- Improve Product QV -> Location tab: add Period Analysis and
Transactions sections. Filter by Location. Note. If you do not see new

numbering counter. Counter values influence on the document numbering rule

QV -> Sales -> Period Analysis.
- Copy All To File With Captions is added to Insight list's popup menu.
It can export grid to csv (comma-separated value) or xml file. For csv
export a separator is List Separator from Windows Regional Options. Export

We have published a new version of Herbst Insight that added new
features to program functionality. Among them subtraders, refreshing

New features:

IMPORTANT: To export documents created in previous versions you need to set
Consumer Units Per Unit field value in product item dialog. You also need
to setup an EDI code field in Settings\General\VAT Codes dialog and GLN in
Company Information.

It is a maintenance update fixing some problems found in version
5.0.1:
- Error message "Invalid request blr at offset ... Function ... is not
defined.
Module name or entry point could not be found".
- Incorrect calculation of Total Debits and Total Credits fields
in Nominal Ledger Entries report.
