Multi-Currency Support & Euro compliant

For any customer, supplier or bank you can issue any transaction in any currency. Herbst Insight will keep separate balances for each currency plus consolidated balance in the base currency. This system gives you extremely high flexibility and control over multi-currency accounts and is ready for the complete transfer over to the Euro. The base currency can in fact be changed at any time.

Triangulation currency rates support and history for currency rates. If you post a sale invoice for the last year Herbst Insight will suggest you use the currency rates from that period.

Products Set up

Herbst Insight boasts several strong product features - Bill of material functionality, multi-line stock adjustments, stock revaluations and cross location or internal stock movements, all of which can be easily transacted and monitored. A product can be a physical good or service and can be identified with a sale, purchase or stock role or a combination of all three.

View Analyse Tool

In addition to all the views throughout the application there is a flexible quick click analysis tool allowing you to drill down and analyse the data in more depth e.g. a break down of the total value of sales posted on each day.

Increased Security and Full User Rights control

Herbst Insight provides the ability to trace user activity, enabling managers to view any data changes made and who made them. Users rights are extremely flexible and can be configured by the administrator according to the business requirements. Data can be shared or restricted across the business as required. Herbst Insight also introduces several levels of fences, for instance an administrator can set up a fence date for a company and there is no activity allowed before this fence date.

Users can also be granted view only or edit rights to specific documents and views.

E-Commerce

With the rising popularity of E-Commerce Herbst Insight has a Customer Web Interface.

Without any additional tedious uploading or downloading the customers can access the accounts via the Internet, make orders, select stocks, view their accounts, check delivery documents. Existing customers can access with their security codes and see the prices dedicated to them for the product. They can retrieve any historic documents and enter orders and payments. New customers are dealt with like in any traditional E-shop: access stocks available to the customer web interface, order and pay for them. E-mail or SMS messages are automatically send to confirm the orders.

Product Pricing

In addition to the standard product pricing methods customer specific prices in any currency can be created in relation to individual products. There is also an option to enter quantity discount, pricing parameters and unlimited business specific pricing conditions.

Barcode Point of Sales

Cash sale and barcode transactions supported.

Receipts / Payments

Customer payments received can be manually allocated or automatically allocated the oldest outstanding transactions. Payments received from one customer can also be offset against another trader where required. Credit card and direct bank payments are incorporated.

Bank / Cash

As all financial transactions such as cash & cheque receipts, transfers and cheque printing are recorded in Herbst Insight, Bank statements can be easily and confidently verified against the online data in Herbst Insight.

Fully Integrated Payroll

Herbst Insight is fully integrated with Herbst HRM (Human Resource and Payroll package). Weekly, Fortnightly, Four-weekly and Monthly wages and salaries can be imported with one click of a button to the accounts in Herbst Insight, thereby automatically updating your nominal ledger, bank accounts and cost data. In their turn, wages and salaries in HRM are easily calculated based on data imported from Herbst Attendance (Time and Attendance system).

Nominal Ledger

The nominal ledger is fully comprehensive and can be set up with as few or as many accounts as required. In addition the data can be quickly and easily analysed on-line by cost centre.

Budget Preparation

Budgets can be easily prepared based on a percentage increase/decrease during previous periods or manual input.

Integrated weighbridge and warehouse options

The weighbridge module has been enhanced by the introduction of the warehouse feature. Weigh transactions can now be used not only for weighable products, but also for managing the warehouse inventory - stock in and out movements. Weigh in and out documents can be easily converted to purchase/sales invoices.

Report Desktop and Form Designer

There are numerous pre-configured, but highly customisable reports enabling you to report or view online any aspect of the data gathered. For instance data can be added or removed, new reports created and access to reports restricted based on user privilege levels.

Export to & import from MS Excel / ASCII

Customer, supplier, product and accounts details can be imported from or exported to MS Excel/MS Word and there is a customisable facility to import and export from/to ASCII files.

Data Migration Wizards

Converting over to Herbst Insight from other accounting packages couldn't be easier with Herbst's wizardry. Just a couple of clicks and all the data is migrated and Herbst Insight is ready to use.
